About Inverclyde Community Food Network
Inverclyde Community Food Network (ICFN) is made up of organisations, groups, and volunteers who work together to:
• Encourage and support local people to get involved in food growing activities with a view to supplying fresh produce to our communities
• Enable our communities to always have access to food / surplus food (donated by several sources)
• Reduce food waste by sharing through the network
What we do
• We are assisting individuals, groups, schools, nurseries & other communities with exisiting and new food growing spaces and offering free horticultural training
• We are supporting our network partners with bulk ordering and co-ordinating sharing their expertise through cascade learning to create a strong food growing community
• We are mapping community food growers & community food projects within Inverclyde
• We are assisting access to local food pantries, community cafes, shops and emergency food services
• We provide free cooking on a budget sessions
