Change Unfair Food Use-By Date Campaign

The Inverclyde Community Food Network has launched a Change.org campaign to try and change the way Use-by Dates are treated by supermarkets.

Currently our food banks and food shares are having to throw away mountains of food that they get late on the day of the Use-by date.

If the supermarkets released the food on the evening prior to the Use-by date then that food could be given away for free the next day to those in need and to prevent it ending up in landfill.
